So... this is all great news for us shallow water, sight-fishing fly fishermen and ladies! Please don't put down those rods and hide from the sun and heat, there is plenty of fish to be caught. Just grab you some SPF, a cold drink, put on those wading shoes and hitch a ride in ol' rusty Chevy Truck... and cruise on down to some fishy looking water and swing those sticks. Cause, even in the middle of the day the fish may be a bit scattered, but with a little extra patience and hard work, believe me... you can find them! and stick em'! So what are you waiting for? Get on in dat' hut tub!
This little guy was very eager to latch onto a late morning crawfish pattern.
Topwater patterns still will draw hot weather bass from there weedy lairs under the pads or deep in the shoreline reeds. This fella' couldn't help himself... Price's Warmwater Whammy got em'!

Amen, amen and amen brother. I got you hooked up over at FR land now. Great post, great reminders not to just lie in the shade like an old coon hound. Get out there, in January you'll be glad you did.
Jeff
I agree the bass can be caught in the heat of day, and better yet at the dust and daylight. I agree again about the brew at the end of the day. Keep landing those bass!!
